Tom and crew,
I would like to thank
you for the work you have done on my last four projects.
First the 1992 Lincoln
Continental I took in trade only needed to be checked out for the safety
concerns and anything it may need for inspection. Remember this was coming from
Maryland (not much of an annual inspection) and going up to Pennsylvania (with
one of the most strict inspections). With only minor fixes, it made the trip to
Pittsburgh with no problems. And is still being used as a daily driver from
Pittsburgh to West Virginia.
Secondly, even though my
2008 Porsche Cayenne Turbo only needed some buffing of the driver side
doors, Papo did a fantastic job on the work. With the value of this vehicle, I
was hesitant to let anyone touch the vehicle. I am very pleased with the
result. Black is not a forgiving color. The result is nothing but amazing.
Third, after seeing what
you could do mechanically with the Lincoln and the paint work with the Porsche,
I thought I would see what you could do with a much larger project. The 1992
Blazer, which my brother has owned for 10 years, had a bad engine. It had been
sitting for the past 16 months in the garage in PA. I first requested to have
the engine replaced with the GM performance engine. Once I towed the
Blazer down from Pittsburgh to Virginia, I then was made painfully aware it
needed a bit more work than just the engine. The rust repair, tire carrier
removal, brake and fuel lines, brakes, wheel cylinders, windows, etc etc
etc all needed to be fixed. Since we were doing all the paint work, I threw a
couple more curve balls at you guys with the installation of a cowl induction
hood and the custom dual exhaust request. Even though we started with a 4 week
estimated time frame, it turned out to be just over 4 months, and there were
times when I wondered it if would take longer. But the result was amazing and my
brother is very happy.
Even though you
repeatedly informed me of the cost of the work, compared to what the
vehicle is actually worth, I deicded to go ahead. The look on my brother's face
when I opened the garage door and he saw his beloved Blazer, was worth every
penny. Remember, he only thought I was having the engine replaced. With all the
other work you guys did on the vehicle, it looked like a brand new truck.
Oh, and it also made it
up to Pennsylvania with no issues at all and is still running great. When I
asked him how the truck was running, he stated, and I quote, "Fantastic, I
just spent the last hour staring at it in the garage". He is just a crazy
about his vehicles as I am.
And the final project,
my sister purchased a 2000 Honda Passport here in Virginia via the Internet. It
had low miles and was in very good condition with the exception of the front
grill. The plastic Honda grill had a hole through it from a rock. When I
dropped it off, Papo said he would not guarantee it could be fixed. I had no
reservations that he would make it right. When I picked it up, there was no
sign from the front that a hole ever existed, You can see the repair from the
back, but from the front when installed it looked perfect and the paint was an
exact match. Papo is just amazing.
Thank you again for the
work and I will let you know when the next project is ready for work. I am glad
we had the "comfort conversation" during the Blazer project after
reading the BS blogs on the internet. I am glad I took the chance to let you
finish the work on the Blazer instead of pulling it out of your shop. It was
worth it and I wish you guys the best going forward. Hopefully everyone who
reads the blogs gives you the opportunity that I did to see the results you
guys can produce.
Good Luck and Thanks.
Chuck
