1975 Chevrolet Vega

The Vega, like the Pinto were in part Americas answer to imports gas misers. After the American people were sold a "bill of goods" we all remember as the oil embargo American auto manufacturers had to react quickly to produce lighter and more fuel efficient vehicles.

The result was lackluster performance, compromised safety and a lack of reliability.

The Twin Cam Cosworth was an attempt to add performance to these less than dynamic cars but despite that they had a joy and personality all the same and should very much be treasured as an all important piece of our amazing automotive history.

After we completed the body work and paint Bubba applies the finishing touches by hand laying the gold decals and applying the original dealer plate.

Next Johnny B Good begins disassembling the engine for in preparation for resealing it.
