Interior Done Bubba Style
1932 Lowboy Roadster
Bubba begins to cover the cover the dash with a tan leather.
Once Bubba has cut out the correct size piece of leather he
uses interior adhesive to bond the leather to the dash panel. Using a roller he
makes sure the leather makes great contact with the dash panel.
A special thank you to Hydrotex whose products you see in the background!
Hydrotex is Bubbas personal lubricant company of choice and every fluid on this
very special build except the coolant will be a Hydrotex product.
Once the front of the dash panel is baby smooth and wrinkle
free The Master begins folding the leather over the edges and onto the back
side of the dash panel.
First the right corners of the dash are adhered......
Then the left corner of the dash is completed.
The distributor cap was painted the same textured finish as
the firewall so it disappears and your eye is left with all the chrome and
billet of the motor to pop out at you.
Once Bubba has finished up covering the dash panel he checks
it for a nice tight and precise fit. The old adage applies here....measure
twice cut once. As you can see Bubba nailed it the first time.
Bubba takes a look at how nicely the dash panel now sits in

Bubba meticulously cuts the openings for the gauges.
Here is the dash panel in mock up. It looks simply amazing
like everything Bubba designs.
A nice picture of her from the front with the doors open.
Bubba begins to sew the beads on the edge of the carpets.
The sewing of the carpets continues as the banners of 2 of
Bubbas sponsors hang behind them. Both of these sponsors had a big role to play
with this special TV car that is being built for the Andreatos Brothers. A VERY
special shout out to PPG Paints and Woodward Fabrication. It was PPG's paint
and Woodward Fab's equipment that has been used throughout this build and will
continue to be used in the future.
It is Bubbas laser like precision to detail that produces
the best product found anywhere on the market today.
Bubba begins the mock up on the door panel.
You can see that his plan calls for some top shelf touches.
Here is the carpet you saw Bubba making earlier laid into
place before it is glued down.
With the door panel temporarily in place Bubba thinks
through EVERY detail of the panels design. For example, look carefully at the
sample piece he has sewn and is holding up. Notice it has the same leather bead
on it the carpet has but the lower half is carpet. Why? Because when the owner
is in the car his knee and foot will possibly hit those areas. So, instead of
doing the lower door panel in leather the carpet will wear much better and not
compromise the top shelf appearance. It will also allow the carpet to rest
against the side of the leather seat instead it being leather on leather
causing premature wear. Very well thought out indeed!
Bubba demonstrates why he is using the carpet on the lower
door panel as described above.
Bubba checks the interior for preliminary fit and finish.

Totally bad ass....totally Bubba Style!
Not even James Dean could be this cool.

Bubba listens as one of the owners shares his excitement
with him regarding the door panel trim.
Yes, that is the world famous Andreatos Brothers for whom
Bubba is building this car.
They are incredible people and it is an honor they have chosen Bubbas East
Coast Rods & Customs as their personal classic car and hot rod shop. They
are top shelf, quality oriented businessmen who could have their cars built
anywhere in the world but have chosen Bubba as their personal builder because
of the quality and detail in everything he does. We count them amongst our
many, many blessings.
Bubba shares his plans for the rear panel area which will
follow the detail found in the door panel.
A look at the mocked up door panel without any of the
special piping or accents added. While I won’t release Bubbas plans for them
now you will definitely see it very soon but I can promise you it will be
totally Bubba Style.
